Group collaboration plan and proposal
This group deliverable describes your ideas about how you can support each other while working on the master thesis. It also proposes a student-organized activity for next semester. The proposals will be set up in a competitive process against each other, evaluated by the community of DAT390 students, and one of them will be selected (by you) as the student-run seminar activity of the Department of Data Science in the Spring 2024 semester.
Parts that will be evaluated
- Synergy from a planned group collaboration beyond this semester.
(Only involving the group members, how can you support each other?)
- Proposed student-organized activity for the coming semester.
(This would reach out to more than the group, but we will do only one.)
- Outcome and impact of the proposed activity.
(How will you and the community benefit if the activity is selected?)
Document format
- A4 page format, 11pt font size (or larger), submission as PDF.
- You can produce the file using any tool, it does not need to be done using LaTeX.
- The three parts above are limited to two pages each; this is a maximum - it is not a problem if they are shorter. Think that all students who want to do a great job at evaluating these proposals will need to read the documents by seven other groups, so brevity will be appreciated.
- The title and list of contributors do not count toward the page limit and can e.g. be on a separate cover page. A list of literature references at the end, if you need one, does not count toward the page limit either.
- The files will be disclosed internally, within Canvas, to all students within DAT390.
Mandatory status - important
This is one of the mandatory activities - it will not contribute to the grade, but if you have nothing, all the group members will fail DAT390 by not having accomplished a mandatory activity. Therefore, please make sure you submit something rather than nothing. List all who have contributed in any way, however minor, as authors of the submitted document. All those who do not contribute will lack the mandatory activity which means that they cannot pass DAT390.
(submit through Canvas by end of 20th October 2023)
